Nanga Parbat In Pakistan is the important mountain. At 8,126 m, the Nanga Parbat is the ninth-highest mountain on Earth. It is the western anchor of the Himalayas, as well as the westernmost so-called "eight-thousander." The Naga Parbat lies just south of the Indus River in the Astore District of Pakistan.
