Thandumariamman & Koni Amman Temples - Coimbatore
The two famous Hindu pilgrim centers in Coimbatore are the Thandumariamman Temple and the Koni Amman Temples. Which are situated in the heart of the Coimbatore city. These two temples are dedicated to goddess Parvati, the wife of lord Shiva. Pongal, Deepavali, Aadi Amavasai are celebrated grandly. The main attraction in the temples is the Chariots. During the annual festival season, huge chariots, which have the statues of the goddesses, come around the main streets of the city.
