KANNIYAKUMARI - Cape Comorin
At Dhanushkodi, only two seas meet. At Kanniyakumari (Cape Comorin) three seas - the Indian Ocean, Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea - converge into one another. Indians call this point Kanniyakumari, though in most western geography books it is mentioned as Cape Comorin. It was known to the ancients too. Ptolemy called it Comaria Akon and Marco Polo knew it as Comori.
The southern tip of India Kanyakumari is 703kms from Chennai and well connected by road to all the place in south India. The nearest airport is Trivandrum, Capital of Kerala which is 80kms from Kanyakumari.
