Indian Dance Festival 27th Dec 2011 - 26th Jan 2012 Mamallapuram
The Indian Dance Festival has more culture and heritage to offer than just dance. The famed seventh-century city of Mamallapuram lends the backdrop (the spectacular open-air bas-relief monolith - Arjuna's Penance) for the classical Indian and folk dance performances.
Leading exponents of Bharata Natyam, Kuchipudi, Kathak and Kathakali come here to perform year after year.
And this year, it is between 27th Dec. 2011 and 26th Jan. 2012. So, pack your bags. It doesn't take that long to get here.
